Appalachian State University offers a wide variety of transfer distance education degree programs at the undergraduate level and both degree and certificate programs at the graduate level. Programs are offered at sites/locations across western North Carolina and online. Please note:
- All of Appalachian's undergraduate distance education programs offer only the upper division coursework, so prospective applicants should insure that they have completed the required minimum lower division coursework at one or more regionally accredited institutions before seeking admission.
- All of Appalachian's graduate distance education programs (whether certificate or degree) require applicants to hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
We invite you to explore what is available via distance education and then to join the Appalachian family by choosing the program that is right for you. Review what is available by simply clicking on "Prospective & Returning Students" to open an exciting new chapter in your life.
